few pictures of tilapia we had fried for the kids...and the dinner plate




green masala fish curry...



Ing:
1-2 small promfrets or any fish you like.
1 small onion chopped
2 tbsp of green masala(if needed add more)
1/2 can coconut milk
chopped cilantro
1/2 tsp haldi
1/2 tsp red chilli pd
1/2 tsp coriander/cumin pd
1/2 tsp tamarind pulp(concentrate)
salt to taste

method:
heat oil.Add onions and green masala(mixture of green chilli,cilantro,ginger,garlic ground together)
then saute for 5 mins.when it leaves oil on the side.add all spices and coconut milk.
add salt and 1 cup water.bring to a boil and then add the promfret pieces which are washed.
bring to a boil and simmer for 15 mins.Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or rotis.

Weekend at friend's house




we visited our friend's over the weekend and decisded to have adifferent menu this time
the menu was fried surmai fish,promfret curry with green masala and kokam kadi,rice dal and chapatis.
It was fun cooking together....
Recipe for the fish(fried)
marinate the fish in chilli pd,crushed garlic,haldi,salt and tamarind pulp for 3-4 hrs.I marinated it in a ziploc bag so that the marinade coats the fish well.
then dip it in a mixture of rava and rice flour.
heat oil in a pan and shalloe fry the fish tll crisp on both sides...
enjoy with rotis or rice and kokam curry....
